Beech Creek. The mountain slopes of the Scenic Area surround the creek bottoms and hollows lined with
large beech trees. The Botanical Area, which runs along the creek, was designated to protect and interpret the unique plant communities found here.
Directions From Oklahoma State Highway 63 take Forest Road 6026 south for 5 miles, then to Forest Road K-68A for 1 mile to trailhead parking.
Length 32 miles of various loops.
Site Amenities There are no developed campsites, drinking water or restrooms.
Local Rider Input These under used trails have great potential for excellent riding, but they are usually found to be in need of maintenance. Mostly just a lot of branches or
trees down. Ride the Beech Creek Trail to Beech Creek, or do the Walnut Hill Loop. Forget the Blue Bouncer, it is a real looser. Too steep and poorly laid out.
With a little use and maintenance, these trails would be as good as any in the state.
